Picture/Icon-based Navigation
One of the most important features of ESP is its intuitive and easy to use media navigation system. Since one of the key functions performed by ESP is the handling of a 'database' of various media, a fast and intuitive method is required for accessing the available media, both in the Edit Mode and Run Mode.
ESP presents the user with a number of Picture/Icons that represent the various still/audio/video sequences in the database. The Icons can be assigned a Bitmap image and customized description to aid in recognition.
In addition, multimedia sequences can be grouped together in 'Categories' in a hierarchical fashion, and each Category can also be represented by a Bitmap image and customized description. Categories can also contain 'sub' Categories, allowing a hierarchical structure of media to be built that is intuitive and easy to use.
