The Emergency Simulation Program (ESP)

Digital Video

ESP supports two Digital Video formats:
  • The MPEG (Motion Picture Experts Group) standard, which features high quality full-motion and full-screen video, and has the ability to make use of a hardware MPEG accelerator board if one is installed.
  • Microsoft's Video For Windows (AVI) format.

ESP provides a full suite of editing features for both formats, including, Play, Step, Scan, and enabling/disabling of audio. The user can select from any available MPEG or AVI file, and can select any combination of start and end frames.

In addition, any single frame of the Digital Video file can be captured and used to identify the Media Clip accessing the file.

Digital Video is edited through the Digital Video Edit Page of the Media Clip Dialog
